MET Translator Display
Standard meteorological sensors in, clear readings and system-ready data out.
The MET Translator Display connects to a wide range of standard meteorological sensors, shows their readings on an integrated 7″ display, and passes the data on in the format each receiving system needs. It is designed as a replacement for the discontinued YOUNG Meteorological Translator (Model 26800).
What it does
Most meteorological sensors produce an analogue signal or a simple digital state. The MET Translator Display sits between those sensors and the systems that use the data: it reads them, shows the values locally, and turns them into messages another system can take in directly.
Reads the sensors
Eight analogue inputs with adjustable ranges, plus digital inputs, so standard sensors connect without a separate interface unit.
Shows the readings
Real-time values on the integrated 7″ display, with graphical trends, so conditions can be read where the unit is installed.
Passes the data on
Configurable ASCII messages over RS-485 serial to DADAS, and data in conventional formats for other users, systems and standard computers.
Replacing a YOUNG 26800
Where a YOUNG Meteorological Translator (Model 26800) is still in service, the MET Translator Display is designed to take its place. Tell us which sensors are connected and which systems read its output, and we will confirm the configuration before anything is changed.
