Meteorological Sensors

Meteorological sensors usually include sensors to measure Air Temperature, Air Humidity and Barometric Pressure. A complete solution can also include Rainfall sensors, Solar Radiation and others. WISE Group can deliver sensors from different manufacturers with different qualities based on specific needs; however, we only recommend those robust enough to survive the harsh conditions offshore.

We have over 25 years of experience choosing the best models for your application.

Air Temperature and Air Humidity sensors

WISE Group can recommend sensors for single parameter measurements or combined sensors for several parameters. Air Temperature and Air Humidity are standard parameters; however, Dew Point, Wet Bulb Temperature, and others can be calculated and displayed directly from the sensor or the system software. Radiation shields to protect the sensor from sun and wind are provided. Models with ATEX certificates are available.

Barometric Pressure sensors

WISE Group can recommend several sensors with high long-term accuracy which comply with regulations and recommendations from WMO and air traffic authorities. Air Pressure Chokes to prevent influence from wind gusts are also provided. Hand-held calibration instruments that can be used for test or verification are also available.

Other sensors

Over the years, we have gained experience using sensors for several other parameters. We can recommend, specify or supply sensors for these upon request.

Typical parameters may be Rainfall or Precipitation, Solar Radiation, Water Level, Sea Temperature, Snow Level, Distance, and Angular sensors.
