Cloud platform for environmental and operational data
Orbalux is WISE Group's next-generation cloud platform for environmental and operational data management. It replaces and extends earlier monitoring solutions, such as MM Weather, providing a modern, secure, and scalable foundation for metocean and operational data delivery.
Built on WISE Group's long experience with offshore and industrial monitoring systems, Orbalux enables customers to access real-time data, historical insight, and system integration capabilities through a single cloud platform.
What Orbalux does
Orbalux provides a central platform for collecting, storing, visualising, and sharing data from distributed field systems.
Sources include:
- Metocean and weather monitoring systems
- Motion, positioning, and condition monitoring
- Environmental and operational sensors
- Existing data acquisition and control systems
The platform supports both live operational monitoring and long-term data analysis, making it suitable for day-to-day operations as well as engineering, assurance, and reporting workflows.

Designed for secure operations
Orbalux is designed for use in security-critical and regulated environments.
Data is transmitted using encrypted, outbound-only connections from customer networks, ensuring that operational systems are never exposed to inbound access. Authentication is certificate-based, and the cloud infrastructure is operated within the EU under WISE Group's control.
This architecture makes Orbalux suitable for offshore installations, industrial facilities, and infrastructure systems with strict IT and cybersecurity requirements.
Integration with WISE Group software
Orbalux integrates with WISE Group's existing monitoring and data acquisition software, such as DADAS, and can be deployed alongside new or existing installations. WISE Group software solutions can export data to Orbalux using two standard integration approaches:
Software agent integration
Where systems have network connectivity, a lightweight software agent securely publishes data directly to Orbalux. This approach is typically used for modern systems or virtualised deployments where software-based integration is preferred.
Dedicated data gateway
For environments requiring stronger network separation, a dedicated data gateway provides a controlled interface between on-site systems and the Orbalux cloud platform. This option is commonly used in offshore or high-security installations.
Both approaches use encrypted, outbound-only communication and allow existing systems to be extended with cloud access, visualisation, and integration capabilities without redesigning the underlying installation.
For customers currently using MM Weather or similar systems, Orbalux provides a clear migration path to a modern cloud platform with extended functionality, improved security, and long-term product support.
