WISE Group's history is rooted in a commitment to engineering excellence, innovative technology and trusted partnerships. Since our first offshore MetOcean experience in 1980, we have grown into a supplier of integrated monitoring systems for the offshore, marine and renewable energy industries.

Our story
1980
First offshore MetOcean experience
We began our journey into offshore MetOcean monitoring. This early experience laid the foundation for developing specialised systems tailored to the unique challenges of offshore environments.
1991
Founding of Automasjon og Data AS
Automasjon og Data AS (A+D) was established as a software company in Bømlo, Norway. From these humble beginnings, we began to focus on developing systems that would shape the future of offshore monitoring.

1992
Development of DADAS software
We launched the DADAS MetOcean software, which became widely used for MetOcean data acquisition and analysis. It laid the foundation for our work as a system integrator.
2008
Transition to system integrator
A+D transformed into a complete system integrator, offering bespoke solutions for MetOcean monitoring systems. This shift allowed us to expand our capabilities and provide complete turnkey solutions to our clients.

2012
Entry into the offshore wind market
Recognising the growing importance of renewable energy, we entered the offshore wind market. Our expertise in monitoring systems positioned us as a key player in this rapidly growing sector.
2018
Rebranding as WISE Group
We rebranded as WISE Group to reflect our expanded service offerings and global reach. This change marked the start of our next phase of growth.

Acquisition of Miros Scotland
We acquired Miros Scotland to further enhance our service and engineering capabilities. This strategic move allowed us to expand our presence in the UK and strengthen our service portfolio.

Acquisition of Scout CCTV assets
We acquired the assets of Scout CCTV, significantly strengthening our camera capabilities. Integrating their camera and video technologies into our offering lets us deliver rugged monitoring systems for offshore and maritime applications.

The acquisition of RUP Ltd adds advanced telemetry, SCADA applications and pipeline monitoring systems to our portfolio, broadening what we can deliver to our clients.
