Pipeline Integrity System (PLIS)

The Pipeline Integrity System (PLIS) is an add-on feature to the PTS that delivers advanced monitoring and leak detection capabilities. The PLIS continuously analyses flow discrepancies, enabling real-time pipeline integrity monitoring and leak detection using RUPDB‘s short-term and long-term flow balance algorithms. This added layer of oversight enhances safety and operational reliability.

Flow Discrepancy Calculations:
Continuously calculates short-term and long-term flow discrepancies to detect potential leakages and irregularities.

Mass Balance Algorithm:
Performs ongoing monitoring, with periodic data output, to compare standard pipeline flow with actual readings.

System Reliability

  • Automatic Restart: It automatically restarts after power failures, returning to the application software without the need for manual intervention.
  • Shutdown Signalling: The PTS can be used in Shutdown Signalling systems where critical signals are propagated between pipeline stations to safely initiate a controlled plant shutdown with or without Operator intervention.
  • High Reliability: RUPDB is suitable for High-Reliability, Dual Redundant Applications and with support for Redundant Multi-Path Data Links deployments
