1980
First Offshore MetOcean Experience
This year, we began our journey into offshore MetOcean monitoring. Our early experience laid the foundation for developing specialised systems tailored to the unique challenges of offshore environments.
1991
Founding of Automasjon og Data AS
In 1991, Automasjon og Data AS (A+D) was established as a software company in Bømlo, Norway. From these humble beginnings, we began to focus on developing systems that would shape the future of offshore monitoring.
1992
Development of DADAS Software
Just one year after our founding, we launched the DADAS MetOcean software, quickly becoming the industry standard for data acquisition and analysis. This breakthrough paved the way for our evolution into a leading system integrator.
2008
Transition to System Integrator
By 2008, we had transformed A+D into a complete system integrator, offering bespoke solutions for MetOcean monitoring systems. This shift allowed us to expand our capabilities and provide complete turnkey solutions to our clients.
2012
Entry into the Offshore Wind Market
Recognising the growing importance of renewable energy, we entered the offshore wind market in 2012. Our expertise in monitoring systems positioned us as a key player in this rapidly growing sector.
2018
Rebranding as WISE Group
We rebranded as WISE Group to reflect our expanded service offerings and global reach. This change signalled the next growth phase, solidifying our position as a leader in MetOcean data systems.
2021
Acquisition of Miros Scotland
In 2021, we acquired Miros Scotland to further enhance our service and engineering capabilities. This strategic move allowed us to expand our presence in the UK and strengthen our service portfolio.
2024
Acquisition of Scout CCTV Assets
We acquired the assets of Scout CCTV, a move that significantly bolstered our surveillance capabilities. By integrating their cutting-edge camera and surveillance technologies into our offering, we now have the ability to deliver high-quality, rugged monitoring systems for offshore and maritime applications. This enhancement ensures that our clients can operate safely and efficiently in challenging environments, a key benefit of this strategic acquisition.
Acquisition of RUP Ltd
